PHAIR is Philadelphia’s maker market where art, craft, and food lovers can shop, stroll, eat, and have fun outdoors. We support local small businesses and creative entrepreneurs who create and sell handmade, artisan food, clothing, jewelry, art, housewares, photography, and more. We also feature a rotating selection of the city’s best gourmet food and fashion trucks. Paired with occasional entertainment through music and art education, PHAIR brings a unique shopping and artistic destination to Philadelphia.
In the summer of 2012, we asked ourselves, what is the one thing Philadelphia has an abundance of that makes this city unique?
The answer was simple – the artists and makers who create here.
Our inspiration comes from many places, specifically european open-air markets and art and craft fairs across the country, including many here in Philadelphia. To that end, PHAIR creates a community of art, handmade, vintage, and food artisans to gather and support each other’s work, while strengthening small, creative businesses so that they may thrive and be successful. Our goal is to create a strong and successful culture of creative entrepreneurs to help enliven and sustain the small business economy in Philadelphia and beyond.
PHAIR opened in the Logan Square section of Philadelphia in May of 2013, and operated through November that same year. In April 2014, we opened at our new home in Headhouse Square, located just south of the Society Hill and Old City neighborhoods, north of Queen Village and South Street, and east of Bella Vista.
